OK, it’s not so much a professional documentary as a fun day-long dialogue around a day backpacking in the Grand Canyon.
It’s eight years running now that some close friends and I drop down into the desert wilderness of this wonderful place for a few days of backpacking and worrying about drinking enough water (among other things). I absolutely delight in spending a day backpacking in the Grand Canyon, and I mean – a full day, no less than 13 miles, filling up on and carrying water, ambling along the Tonto Platform, taking in the scenery of a former ocean-turned-canyon, full of billion-year-old rock formation and contemplating things like The Great Unconformity.
This year, instead of sharing a pile of photos as usual, I’ve started putting together videos and posting them on YouTube. If you’re curious, check it out, and enjoy watching my brain as it stop working multiple times – I like to think because I’m transcending my mind, but more likely just dumb happy to be walking long trails. Or, sun exposure.
And make sure to check out the paintings I’ve done from my Canyon experiences, and all the places I love to go and explore. Thanks for watching! Let me know what you think in the comments.
